My name is Cris Deaton. We are sent out of Greater Cumberland Baptist Church where we have served faithfully for over 10 years in Hopkinsville, KY. The Lord brought us here in 2011 after I returned to Fort Campbell from a deployment to Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne ‘Air Assault” division. After serving two active-duty terms and one National Guard term, the Lord had us stay here and continue to serve Him.
In 2022, at our annual missions conference, The Lord made it very clear to me that He was calling our family to serve once again. However, this time it would be far away from the comfort of “Home”.
We prayed fervently and He showed us very clearly that He wanted to use us in Switzerland. We are fully leaning on Him every step of the way!
I am writing this to you highly recommending Cristopher Deaton as our missionary to Switzerland.
We have known Cris Deaton for over 10 years now. From watching him newly married, start a family and grow extremely close to the Lord, serving Him in any capacity possible, both Pastor and Mrs. Deaton have, from the very beginning of their family, surrendered their lives to Christ. This total surrender has seen them serve Him in bus ministries, youth ministries, faithful soulwinning and discipleship, forming connections with people in need and wholly sacrificing themselves for others.
There is no doubt in my mind that this spirit and fervency will follow them on deputation and the field. But most importantly I have seen them love their Saviour, no matter the cost and no matter in what way, knowing that He is the reason for their surrender.
